First time here. Anthony, our server, was very nice from the get go. Accommodated us in our food selection. Our meal was delicious, desserts even better. We will be definitely be back. Everyone was wonderful.

Excellent service, and food. Been here numerous times. Have enjoyed Burrata, tricolor salad, cannelloni, many other dishes. Leave room for dessert.

We go to Mamma Assunta Ristorante quite often. It the winter time the soup is always hot and comforting. there is also a welcoming wood burning fire place that adds to the appeal of this lovely restaurant. The dishes are carefully prepared and always excellent. I love the past dishes. There are also surprise specials daily. In addition they serve a lovely salad before the meal arrives as well as delicious warm Italian bread. The staff are kind and considerate.

First off, let it be known that I SELDOM write restaurant reviews. I dine here about 8-12 times each year and this is one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. Consistently great food! Very likable staff. And they nailed it on the ambiance. To the chefs: DO NOT change the way you make Chicken Sorrentino!!! It’s absolutely amazing!! Truly a slice of culinary perfection! Many restaurants just throw together some eggplant, prosciutto, cheese and then slop marinara sauce on top. Some of these turn out good and some turn out very good, but NONE (except at Mamma’s) make it into the Chicken Sorrentino Hall of Fame. Their bread is always fresh (critically important) and their salads are well prepared and delicious. The only bad thing I can say is that they don’t have Chicken Sorrentino on their dessert menu.

Came here for dinner one night, and have to say that I was very impressed with the food. It’s very unassuming given its location tucked away in a mini mall. The pasta is amazing and very fresh. Service is very friendly - they brought food in a timely manner. Atmosphere was nice - it’s straddled between being a casual and fancy Italian restaurant. Outdoor seating got a little bit noisy towards the end of the evening. Food - 15/20 Service - 6/10 Atmosphere - 7/10 Total - 28/40

Warm, cozy and friendly - Food is excellent - Wait staff professional and knowledgeable about the menue, small bar & Big Screen TV - outdoor seating & party room.. Specials daily- feels like you're visiting Italy.

I haven't been here in a few years! Food was delicious. Service was great as well.

Mamma Assunta is our "special occasion" Italian Restaurant! Delicious food, daily specials, attentive service and cozy atmosphere all lead to a great experience every time. We brought friends here from Wyoming to demonstrate to them what a real New York Italian restaurant is! They'd never experienced anything like it. This is one of the rare places where I've found Cannelloni on the regular menu and of course, it is delicious. Try the endive and pear salad with its bright lemony dressing, or the linguine with clams, which my companion said were the best he'd had in many, many years. Portions are generous and if I attempt having a primi and a secondi, I roll right out of there. Great for leftovers or sharing the primi. Desserts are wonderful, too, so do keep that in mind when ordering ... Just remember that you need to look a little bit for Mamma Assunta. The plaza is up a few stairs, and the restaurant is at the back of the plaza, so it's not easy to see from the street. Very well worth the little bit of effort, though.
